I love the community on the eclechick Facebook page. We talk about fashion, style, nails and have some laughs about questionable photos that have whirled around the internet. Not too long ago, I came across the image above of a remarkable shoe closet and decided to share it with the Facebook gang. A collective, adoring sigh and conversations about wanting and needing something similar to the arrangement spread rapidly in the comments section on the picture. Eventually, a question about shoe storage and space came up, which led me and others to share how we house those precious gems, otherwise known as shoes. Some of the stylish ladies store their shoes in clear boxes and stack them (so do I), another lucky lady had the opportunity to renovate and create a shoe closet. I’ll be honest, I get tired of rummaging through my stacks of clear boxes. My shoes are screaming for space. So what options do we have?
Well DJ Kiss, one of my favorite style mavens, see why (here) must have read our mind. While doing my nightly (yes, I can be a night owl) internet perusals, I stopped by her fashion and style blog, and right there was a shoe storage delight!
Did you hear the shoe storage praise song while looking at that picture? Pretty sure it was playing when my eyes fell on it. She revealed that the shoe storage wonder is in fact a bookcase, yes a bookcase from… Are you ready? IKEA! The Billy Bookcase, available in 5 different finishes (white, black, birch veneer, medium brown and black-brown) is reasonably priced at $59.99!
Amazing steal and totally doable for any size room. It’s an affordable way to add a dash of luxury to your closet, make your shoes happy by giving them some space and show them off! Swing by DJ Kiss’s blog to get tips on the best way to arrange your shoes on the bookcase. I’m definitely getting one or two, maybe three. What about you?
Love this Sereeda! Great minds really do think alike, thanks for posting!! I adore your blog!!

Kiss
