I’ve been eyeing these Balenciaga Buckle Ankle Boots since Rihanna’s Talk That Talk Promo pics surfaced last year…
But they were sold out EVERYWHERE, so I never looked into how much they were or did any shoe hunt expeditions. It was a c’est la vie moment. Perhaps about, 2 or 3 weeks ago I was reminded of my love for them when K’dia did an outfit post wearing, THOSE BOOTS…
And now it seems as if they’re popping up everywhere, taunting me. Whitney Port wore them in her The Coveteur feature…
Then Wendy Lam, listed in my Shoe Lust Confessions, popped up in them on Instagram. Balenciaga won’t leave me alone! So what if they’re around 5 pounds and aren’t comfortable (K’dia and Wendy have mentioned the not so comfy feel of the shoe). I wanted them; BAD.
To my delight, Barneys decided to put the 2012 version out for preorder heart palpitations ensued as I happily clicked over to their lovely site, only to have a WALCA moment. WALCA stands for WANT AND LOVE CAN’T AFFORD. The shoes that stole my heart and have been taunting me for the last month (give or take a day) are $1275. So yeah, I’ll just admire them on other people’s feet… Unless someone wants to make me love them long time and present them to me the way Mufasa presented Simba to the kingdom. No? Ok, a girl can dream.
