Yesterday a new chapter was revealed – LIFE (behind the scenes pictures and dialogue about my life) and today marks the first day of The Glossies, previously called Photo Shoot Fresh. The Glossies is all about, well, glossy magazine editorials. I love magazines, literally read them from cover to cover, but I especially love the editorials. Why not share my love for those glossy spreads with you? Enjoy!
The September Issue, possibly the most coveted issue magazines put out have been creating a bit of a buzz lately. Who has the most pages? How many ads does xyz magazine have? Who will be the cover girl for blah, blah, blah? Well Harper’s Bazaar has unveiled the cover as well as stills from her shoot and it’s Gwen Stefani! I’m a No Doubt lover, cues “Don’t Speak” and have been nodding my head and singing, “Get, get, get in liiiiiine and settle down.”, which explains why my eyes lit up with glee when I clicked through the images. Gwen is draped in Alexander McQueen, The Row, Jil Sander, Versace, DVF (my favorite); dripping with jewels from Van Cleef & Arpels and strutting in Charlotte Olympia and Yves Saint Laurent shoes. It’s a luxe dream of labels and Stefani wears each look with her signature tomboy yet girl next door vibe. Get into the images below.

I LOVE this spread, bursting with whimsy and the garments are editorial ready. That McQueen gown was definitely not my favorite when it traipsed down the runway, but it looks spectacular in this editorial. Terry Richardson did an outstanding job capturing Gwen. Making changes/adding new features = great move. I will be changing things up soon too. Anyway, I love Gwen she is one of my fave celebrities/singers/designers. I like the spread however, I am not in love with it. Maybe it’s all the pink. I would like to have seen her rock girl personality shine. I guess she has to show her sweet girl side sometimes.
Gwen is fabulous! It is a pink overload, but maybe it’s a play on her always present tomboyish look.
