Have you noticed the massive nail polish and nail art takeover? A few months ago, I wrote a piece about designers joining forces with polish brands on MyFDB, one thing that resonated with me was how nail polish is now the new accessory. Yes, we’ve been wearing it for aeons, but let’s face it, nail polish is having its moment. Rejoice nail polish adorers! Our favorite slick, shiny, liquid is finally getting the recognition it deserves. Our favorite celebs are rocking bold nail art designs, designers are swiping their runway model’s tips in eye-popping colors and polish brand veterans like Sally Hansen, OPI, Revlon (yes, Revlon) are creating new colors that have paved the way for new brands like ncLA, Cult Nails, deborah lippmann and more to produce fun, funky colors that we can’t get enough of. All of that nail polish jazz has summoned lacquer lovers to come up with ways to wear our paint on our fingernails; accent nails, ombre, marble… The list goes on and on; but what about our toes?
I recently stumbled upon a trend that was fairly new to me…
Wendy of nitrolicious.com (the first fashion/style blog that I fell in love with) color blocked her toenails with two colors from the NARS x Thakoon collection – Kutki and Koliary. Brilliant! How many times have you purchased nail lacquer from a collection and couldn’t wait to try them all? Yeah, you can do it on your nails, but for some reason I like how it looks on toes. Perhaps it’s because it’s new to me. Well I tried it out…
With two colors from OPI’s Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection – If You Moust You Moust and I’m All Ears (I noticed that some of my toes on my right foot do a funky bending thing, hahahaha). I like it and will probably do this more often! What do you think, will you get a color blocked pedi on your tootsies at your next appointment?

Love the look – something we definitely need to try at the Spa soon. Any volunteers?

What a cute idea! I think I like this and would never have thought to do it.
