My Visit to nOir Jewelry

A few weeks ago while visiting NYC for an event, I stopped by nOir jewelry to tour the office. If you’re an eclechick reader, you know how much I love nOir. In fact, Lee (Leeora Catalan-nOir creator) was my first Driving Force interview. Since then, dreams of having a trove of nOir jewelry danced around in my head. Let’s just say, knowing that I would be in the building where all of those lovely designs were made automatically ensued heart palpitations. I traveled to 38th street via an NYC cab ride (they can be pleasant or a nightmare) and made it there in one piece. What greeted me when I got off of the elevator?

*cues angelic music* I chatted with Elizabeth a bit and got down to the jewelry. Boy was I amazed! So many pieces, and this wasn’t even half of what’s usually in the display room.

Of course I slipped on the infamous Dinosaur Bones Pave Cuff from the Disney Collection, worn by Nicki Minaj, Gwen Stefani, Samantha Jo Alonso and countless style mavens; this cuff is AMAZING!

The Barbie Dream House Ring from the Barbie Collection, ushered in tons of childhood memories. Do you remember the fold-up Barbie house? I had one of those, Barbie used to walk up and down those stairs all of the time to entertain Teresa and Ken. This ring can be worn closed on one finger, or open, like the picture above on two fingers. It has a chandelier too!

Have you ever seen a ring that moves in a circular motion? That’s exactly what the Moving Jet Ring from the Tokidoki Collection does. So cute!

nOir is pretty awesome to me, the creativity and craftsmanship is unbeatable. There are drawers and drawers full of jewelry…

nOir x L.A.M.B., which launches today. As I mentioned earlier, this was just a small fraction of their pieces and of what I saw. I was in jewelry box heaven. I have a couple of pieces from nOir…

Which will grow, I’m sure of it! Something about their Pyramid Collection (best seller) speaks to me. The edgy, yet chic aesthetic probably has a lot to do with my attraction.

While riding up the elevator to nOir, a sense of amazement showered over me. I never would’ve thought a few years back, that I would be in NYC (on my own), navigating around and now touring places, nOir of all places, because of my quirky style; eclechick! I’m saying that to say to you that hard work, prayer and going after your dreams can have you in places and meeting people that you never imagined. Grateful, thankful, blessed… Those things in addition, to many more come to mind. Find what you love, do it (don’t half-ass it!) and the rest will fall into place. I’m by no means, where I’d like to be, however, I’m on the right path. Don’t let fear, deter you from following your dreams.
