Project LV: Coco && Breezy Spring 2013 Collection

During my first trip to Project LV, I had tons of designer’s booths that had been circled in my Tradeshow book. Seriously, I sat down one evening and went through the entire book and circled the booths I wanted to visit. You have to have a game plan, if not, you’ll be wandering around looking here and there becasue the Mandalay Bay Convention Center is a smorgasbord of brands; shoes, clothes, jewelry, nail polish, handbags… Trust me, there are so many things to see. Coco && Breezy was one of the spots circled in my book and I was pleasantly surprised after approaching their booth.

Gaining fame from their hard-to-ignore studded sunnies and unique style, Coco && Breezy carved a lane in the fashion and style world that a multitude of designers try to navigate and fail. Not these two, they found their niche and made it their bitch! This time around the twin duo has done it again, reinventing their signature style with sleek designs and silhouettes that will surely be coveted as soon as they drop! I chatted it up with Breezy and we discussed the new sunglasses collection and how they’re expanding their brand with a collaboration with Sprayground. Let’s get into the new collection shall we?

Omorose – Spring/Summer 2013

Breezy revealed that the new collection was inspired by Egypt. In fact, the name of the collection, Omorose means BEAUTIFUL in Egypt. The collection is comprised of 5 different silhouettes (the 3 shown above were my favorites) with details reminiscent of Egypt. Think of the pyramids, gold, the Sphinx… All of those elements echo throughout the collection. Breezy also told me that Coco came up with majority of the names for the collection. Slated to drop later this year, I’m sure a lot of Coco and Breezy fans will add 1 or 2 styles from Omorose to their shopping cart, while new fans will begin to familiarize themselves with the brand and become lovers of the aesthetic. I love ‘em all!

We also chatted about their new venture into bags. Yes, bags! They recently did a collaboration with Sprayground, a brand known for fashionable, funky and functional backpacks and bags.

Exposed consists of a backpack and a sunglasses pouch.

X-Ray Vision Backpack + Sunglasses Pouch

The X-Ray Vision backpack was so dope to me! Why? Well it has a bottle of nail polish in the design, duh! But no, seriously, the design revealing what TSA may see in a sassy, jetsetting, fashion lover’s bag (nail polish, iPhone, handcuffs, Coco && Breezy sunglasses, etc.) after slowly rolling down the conveyor belt and passing through the x-ray screening is dope.

Breezy shared that the X-Ray Vision backpack ($60) comes with a complimentary Sunglasses pouch ($25) that can hold up to 2 pairs of glasses. How cool is that? I’ve never been a backpack girl, but this one is definitely on my list!

A special thank you to Breezy for chatting with me. She’s a sweetheart.

That is so awesome that you got to see them in person and the new collection is off the charts!! Great post!

  2. That backpack is cool! Makes me wish I wore them! I do like that their sunglasses seem to be a bit more tame but still wild if that makes sense. I love that first pair.

I know right, I don’t even wear backpacks, but that one makes me want to. That first pair was my favorite too. What you said makes perfect sense.

  3. Reading about your experience definitely makes me consider going for 2013! I absolutely love the sunglasses! Great recap!
