LIFE: Project LV

Last week my good friend Teko and I traveled to Las Vegas for the WWD MAGIC Tradeshow. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect, this was my first time attending an event of this magnitude and I was a little nervous. After making my list and checking it twice, I was ready for Vegas!

We stayed at the world famous Bellagio and had the most breathtaking view…

I’m a sucker for amazing views, gazing out of windows and letting my thoughts drift into space is something I do often. While peering out of the drapery onto the strip, a feeling of “I’m here and can’t believe it” showered over me. Grateful is the best way to describe the initial feeling that bubbled inside of me when my eyes fell on the electric and whimsical glow of the fountains as they swayed and jolted to the music at night. Which, in a way, was the perfect prelude to a wonderful trip.

MAGIC was exactly what the name says, magic! Project in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center was the place to be. Of course there were designers, celebrities, dope clothes, shoes and more; but I was on Cloud 9 when I realized that a blogger that I admire and respect was in the same building, Marcus Troy. My memory is a little foggy as to when and how I discovered this guy but, I’m glad I did. Anytime he travels, acquires new clothing, shoes and/or gadgets; I feel like I’m traveling or receiving the items too. He shares his experiences in a way that makes the viewer feel like they’re there. We met…

Marcus Troy & I

on Monday and I will say that he is the most humble, kind, cool, stylish and appreciative guy I’ve ever met. Words really can’t express how happy I was when I met him. Of course we had to do a blogger type of photo…

Aren’t his shoes dope?

If that wasn’t enough, I ran into Wendy Lam of nitrolicious.com!

Wendy & I

She is the one that inspired me to start eclechick. I remember coming across her blog during the days when MySpace was the best thing since sliced bread and I’ve been a reader since. She has the dopest style, seriously, check out her sneakers and bag in that picture. So yeah I totally dorked out and got hype over meeting my two favorite bloggers.

I got a little side tracked for a minute and had to snap back into eclechick mode. Connecting with designers and bloggers, learning about current as well as up and coming designers and viewing tons of shoes, clothes, nail polish, bags and more. I enoyed my first Project LV and hope to be there for the next one. If you follow me on Twitter, love me long time on Facebook or IG it up with me on Instagram: eclechick, then you’ve seen some of my pictures while I was in Vegas. This week the blog will feature content that hasn’t been seen on any of my social networks from my Project LV experience, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I never thought that blogging would take me this far. Had to throw a little Biggie remix in there, I love hip-hop.
