Hey nail polish lovers! The warm months are ahead of us and you know what that means; fresh hands and feet. I’m sure you’ll be frequenting your favorite nail spa or doing at-home treatments, either way, the goal of flaunting fresh manicures and pedicures are in full swing. Wait. *needle scratches record* Do you have new colors to add the right amount of pizazz to your tips? Don’t worry, I swiped my tips with different colors; finding 6 collections and 1 lacquer that reigned supreme. Check out my picks below.
The chicks over at ncLA have released a sizzling collection entitled “Summer of ’69″ and I love it! A few weeks ago I attended Channing In The City’s 2 Year Soiree and received Hello, I Love You, I had no clue it was a part of the new collection until it’s release this week. I shellacked my nails in it and it is eclechick approved!
It reminds me of fresh-picked raspberries. ncLA is becoming a personal favorite of mine. Perhaps it’s the fact that all of the lacquers are DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde and Camphor free; the application is smooth or their eye-catching hues! I think it’s all three.
Up next is Prabal Gurung’s Sally Hansen Complete Manicure Collection. Seriously, do I need to say anything else? It’s Prabal…for $7.99 a bottle! I’ve been stalking CVS and Walgreens, haven’t seen them yet, but as soon as I do…
I found the last three in my Ulta! So far I’ve swiped my tips in one color. Barely Bluebell is beautiful!
Dolce & Gabbana’s Bouquet Collection is simply beautiful. It reminds me of delicious sherbert, tasty colors for your tips. People will surely admire and if they’re bold enough, ask you where you got those delectable colors from. The mint color is a standout.
When OPI first released a photo of the Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection on their Facebook page, I went bonkers! Minnie Mouse is my favorite Disney character. Someone gave me a huge stuffed Minnie Mouse that giggles and says different phrases when you squeeze her, if that isn’t enough proof of my love for her, then I don’t know what else to say and or do to convince you. Maybe I’ll get the entire collection and paint my nails in all of the colors, at once. Either way, these pinks, magentas and reds are a definite do!
butter LONDON always has polish names that: a) You repeat often. b) Wonder if Londoners actually use some of those words on a regular basis. c) Kind of make you wish you had an English accent. One in particular makes me think of Harry Potter. This collection is the perfect mix of bold and subtle. Packed with opaques and glitter, great for any age group.

Alley Cat, Cartwheels On The Catwalk, XOX Betsey, It's My Pink, Forever Wild, Sparkling Personality, Pushing Your Luck
The Sephora by OPI Betsey Johnson Collection is so Betsey! From the name of each lacquer, down to the colors. You really can’t go wrong with any of these.
Last and definitely not least is a dope, electric blue–Baker Street by nails inc.. I first fell in love with this color when I saw Beyoncé wearing it. Tracked it down, purchased and swiped my tips as soon as I got it! Trust me you’ll love it.
Creamy pastels, bold berries, minty greens, shades of blue and girly pinks seem to be recurring colors for the season; I’m all over it! By the way, that polish ban I put on myself, it ended when I purchased a lovely nude lacquer by deborah lippmann. Yes, I’m weak! But it’s not as bad as it used to be.
Are any of my picks on your lacquer list? What colors are you ready to paint your tips with?
Oh, one more thing; I’ve become an at-home manicure pro, mainly because of Mayu’s nail tips. Find out her secrets here. My manicures last around 5 days now, no chips!
