Hey eclechicks! I want to make a confession… I despise drinking water! It’s so bland and really I just don’t like it, but I know my body needs it, so forcing myself to drink water became the norm. We all want flawless skin right? Well water consumption really helps in that department. Yes, I hopped on the Fiji water train and yes, I became a slave to the little Crystal Light packets. Raise your hand if you did too. That whole issue of bland tasting water was out of the window, but it made me wonder if this was another “I sipped the kool-aid moment.” I cut back on the Crystal Light and went back to forcing down bland, bottled water. That habit is expensive, not only am I drinking a tasteless liquid, but I’m doling out lots of money for it, money I would rather use on clothes, shoes or flavorful beverages! Well I came across the Brita Bottle at my FAVORITE store, Target and decided to give it a try.
After all, spending a mere $9.99 in comparison to what I was spending every two weeks aids my clothing and shoe shopping habit tremendously! Back to the Brita Bottle, it has a small walter filtration system in the cap that “purifies” water.
There’s also a nifty little loop that you can use to carry your bottle around or just cup it in your hand. What I like about it is, I can use my water from the faucet, purify and drink it; without having to spend money on buying plastic bottles or cartons (seems to be a new trend) of water. Plus, I’m helping out in cutting down the amount of plastic being recycled and my skin and body is getting the water it needs. It’s a triple threat! I’ve noticed that I’m consuming more water now than ever, perhaps it’s because it’s new or because my Brita Bottle is violet (my favorite color). Drinking from my little violet Brita makes me feel better, hopefully that feeling isn’t a fleeting one.
If you purchase one, please follow the instructions. Don’t get freaked out from the black liquid (really gross, but short-lived) that spits out when you first fill and activate your filter. I look forward to changing my filter in two months, yes two months and it’s only around $8 for T-W-O. Flawless skin, feel-good body, clothes and shoe shopping here I come!
