I know, I know; we’re smack dab in the middle of summer’s heat fueled wrath, and looking at knee boots, ankle boots, really any type of boot is not on your agenda right now. But it should be! Shoe designers are whipping their Fall and Winter collections out right and left; wowing us with plush suedes, lustworthy leathers and to-die-for heels. So yeah, we can get an early start to the fall/winter shoe hunt, even if it’s just for browsing purposes. I always like to view what’s coming out and make a note of what styles I love, want and need and make my purchase around August or September.
My inbox has been full of Fall and Winter shoe intros and I love it. When Jimmy Choo’s collection made an appearance, I had to take a look immediately. This video initially caught my attention…
I’m a sucker for unique textures and vibrant hues, this ad had all of that and more, the men’s camouflage loafers even caught my eye! Which led me to head over to the Jimmy Choo website and explore their new Fall/Winter collection… Let’s just say an enormous shoegasm took place. Fringe city, rich suedes, drool worthy knee boots and more; a smorgasbord of love-want-and-need those shoes was taking place over there. Here’s the official description:
“A fantasy liaison fusing the inimitable styles of Jimi Hendrix and Kate Moss enraptures Jimmy Choo for the Autumn Winter 2012 collection. Think ‘70s rock ‘n roll glamour with a sexy, bohemian edge. Creative Directors Sandra Choi and Simon Holloway have imagined a world where the vibe is decadent yet rebellious, with a rich palette of black, inky purple, grey and red with flashes of bright hot pink and moody blue. Bohemian texture brings both drama and opulence with embroidered suede, deeply hued snakeskin, shearling and extravagant fox furs, while exotic patchwork brings an air of louche luxury.”
I love it! You know I had to share my favorites with you, right? Get ready!
Are you in love? So many good shoes! Did you notice a recurring color? Purple (my favorite color)! This kind of solidifies my purple shoe prediction discussed in this post. What were your favorites?
