I’m a HUGE Aaliyah fan; August 25, 2011 marked the 10 year anniversary of her tragic death. BET aired a special tribute that I enjoyed, I was dancing around in my living room to her old videos, brought back so many memories. I wish the tribute would have included some live performances…

Aaliyah was a true beauty; I believe girls all over the world rocked a swoop and wore the baggy pants because of her. She had a cool, down to earth spirit that seemed to enamor anyone she came in contact with. Effortless dance moves and noteworthy style, she undoubtedly made an impact. I can recall attempting to have the “Aaliyah look” quite often; those were the days.
